AUCHENTOSHAN DISTILLERY
GREAT WESTERN ROAD
BY DALMUIR
CLYDEBANK
G81 4SJ
By Bus: The 1D (First Bus) departs from several Glasgow City Centre locations and stops at Mountblow Road, around a 10-minute walk from the distillery.
You can also take the 757 or X22 (McGill’s) services, which connect Auchentoshan with Clydebank, Gourock, and Paisley. Both conveniently stop at the distillery entrance.
By Train: The nearest train stations are Dalmuir and Kilpatrick.
If you’re walking from either station, please note that the only access route to the distillery is via Great Western Road. For safety and respect of our neighbours, entry through residential gardens is not permitted.
By Car: Just 30 minutes from Glasgow City Centre, Auchentoshan Distillery is easily reached via Great Western Road, heading towards the Erskine Bridge. You’ll find the entrance slip road on the left-hand side, after the turning for Dalmuir and before the bridge.
If travelling from the west or south, continue along Great Western Road until you see the distillery on your right-hand side. Take the left turn immediately after the distillery for Mountblow, cross the dual carriageway, and rejoin Great Western Road heading westwards. The distillery entrance will then be on your left.
Free parking and EV charging are available on site. If you’re driving, we’d be happy to provide you with a Driver’s Pack, so you can take your whisky home to enjoy later.
By Taxi: If you’re planning to visit by taxi, please note that Uber drivers rarely offer return journeys from the distillery. We recommend booking with a local taxi company instead:
Clydebank Taxis – 0141 941 1101
Clydebank Cabs – 0141 442 0104
Move Cars West – 0141 941 1234
Oliver’s Boulevard & Drumry Taxis – 0141 944 8111
By Foot: The only pedestrian access to Auchentoshan Distillery is via the entrance on Great Western Road.
Please avoid following Google Maps walking directions, as these may lead through neighbouring gardens.
